how depressing does that look? i passed a similar store front this morning while driving. quite frankly there are a lot of store fronts that look like that right now. it got me thinking. and i came up with an idea. and i developed the word adverentising (ad-ver-rent-tie-zing).
when one is looking for something to rent, including a store front, you can go online and see listings. what if a similar site was done for someone who wanted to advertise in the windows of an empty building that is currently for rent? you could see the location and photo of the store front, and thus the price (based on location and window size). one can advertise by the month, and should the property be rented/sold within the first two weeks of a month, and subsequently the window advertisement would need to come down so the new occupant can put their “coming soon” sign up, the cost of the last two weeks of the month would be refunded to the advertiser. cost is the building and maintenance of the web site which shows the inventory, and the production of the vinyl window stickers used to advertise the given company.
as far as i know, nobody is doing this. i may be onto something here. whatcha think?
