i have never been to a jack in the box restaurant, but i thought they were starting to make some headway in the fast food market. until today.
i saw this commercial and felt the shot at burger king was well played. i know many an afternoon (or minutes after they closed breakfast and began lunch) i have wanted a croissanwich from burger king. so i liked that jack in the box offered their entire menu at any time. i thought quite favorably about them and their advertising, and was planning on eating in one of their restaurants the next time i saw one, but today i saw this commercial and i gotta say i’m lost. the obvious lack of campaign or cohesion aside, this commercial is terrible. you just positioned yourself with something different — a place where anyone could get any menu item at anytime. and you take a direct shot at burger king. and then you put this stoner commercial out? jack in the box, you failed.
