i was listening to the radio this morning and they were giving away tickets via their twitter account. “the ninety-sixth person to re-tweet what we are going to tweet right now gets the tickets.”
good work.
before twitter, it was “the ninety-sixth person to call us right now gets the tickets.” nobody except the winner had any potential marketing involvement for the radio station, as they were all told they weren’t the winner and promptly hung up on. now with twitter, the ninety five people before the winner, and all the subsequent people after ninety six, are marketing for the radio station by re-tweeting their tweet.
i don’t follow the said radio station via twitter, but i can assume their tweet had their web site in it… ‘least i hope so.
